With a rise in cyber attacks against public schools, it’s important for district administration and board leaders to be prepared. This fall, the Diligent Institute and PennSSI will provide an online certification program to help public education leaders better understand and fully embrace their role in providing strategic direction and oversight of cyber risk and emerging technologies. Applications for the certification program are due by August 30, 2024. Applicants will be notified of their status in early September. Accepted applicants will receive an email with the release of courses on September 9; courses must be completed by December 13. At the conclusion of the course, participants will engage in an interactive exercise and complete a culminating final project before receiving their certification from Diligent Institute.

• Cyber risk management  
• Cyber strategy and board oversight  
• Cyber incidents
